Mayoral Academies

Mayor McKee worked with national experts to develop his plan to create a statewide network of high-performing, regional public schools known as Mayoral Academies.

The first mayoral academy, Democracy Prep Blackstone Valley, is in Cumberland. This free public school will serve hundreds of Cumberland children and families while demonstrating to district leadership what is possible for every child in Cumberland. Mayor McKee's goal is nothing short of a world-class public education system for every family he represents.
